How many kids does Cristiano Ronaldo have as Man Utd star prepares to welcome twins

Manchester United talisman Cristiano Ronaldo is never too far from the headlines. While usually it is for his on-field achievements, this week the five-time Champions league winner and his partner, Georgina Rodriguez, 27, announced they would be having twins.

Ronaldo and Georgina, a former shop assistant, have been together since 2016 and have yet to tie the knot.

Speaking to Piers Morgan on ITV in 2019 Ronaldo said: "She helped me so much. Of course, I’m in love with her."

Pressed on if he would pop the question, Ronaldo replied: "For sure".

"It’s my mum’s dream as well. So, one day. Why not? It’s great. She’s my friend. We have conversations. I open the heart for her and she opens the heart for me."

The Euros winner, 36, recently signed a £480,000 per week deal with his former club Manchester United who he left to join Spanish giants Real Madrid in 2009.

Ronaldo was dating Russian model Irina Shayk, however the couple announced they were splitting in 2015. The following year Ronaldo and Georgina got together after meeting in a Gucci store where she was working.

Sharing the news that he and Georgina were expecting their second and third children together he took to Instagram saying: "Delighted to announce we are expecting twins. Our hearts are full of love - we can’t wait to meet you."

How many children does Ronaldo have?

Prior to this week's announcement of the twins, the former Real Madrid man had four children, two of which were also twins.

The four older children are believed to have been born to three different mothers, with only his current partner Georgina identified.

With the announcement of the latest pair Ronaldo will have six children in total.

His oldest child, Cristiano Jr, was born in the United States in 2010; it is believed he has full custody of the 11-year-old whose mother remains anonymous per an agreement between his parents.

Ronaldo's close relationship with his oldest child, Cristiano Jr, was well documented in the 2015 documentary film 'Ronaldo', where he can be seen playing with him and hanging out around the house. The United star has also shared videos of his eldest son playing football on Instagram.

The older set of twins, Eva Maria and Mateo, were born in June 2017 to a surrogate mother, with Ronaldo declining to comment on their mother's identity.

In November that year Ronaldo's fourth child, Alana Martina, was born to now partner Georgina with the pair having remained together ever since.

Speaking to Hello Magazine in 2017, Ronaldo said: “Becoming a parent and raising my family is honestly the greatest privilege I’ve had. I’m enjoying every second of it.

“It’s taught me things about love I never knew existed. It has softened me and given me new perspective on what is really important in my life.”
