How many episodes of Geordie Hospital are there? Channel 4's Newcastle based series continues

After weeks of teasers, Geordie Hospital finally kicked off on Channel 4 last week and will air its second episode on Monday night.

And the good news for those who got hooked on it straight away, is that the whole series will be available to binge right after the first episode goes out on TV.

The documentary series sees cameras go inside numerous hospitals on Tyneside to turn the primetime spotlight on their dedicated staff and the hard work they do day in day out.

The Geordie Hospital cast includes employees in all manner of roles from intensive care doctors to dental nurses and orthopaedic surgeons to chaplains and even a welfare dog who has bagged a starring role in the show.

Dame Jackie Daniel, Chief Executive of The Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust commented: “We wanted to show the very best of Newcastle in a warm and engaging way – focusing on our world class clinicians as well as our extremely valued support staff who are all equally important in caring for our patients.

“I’m very grateful to all of the staff and patients who gave their time and expertise to help us make this programme.”

How many episodes of Geordie Hospital are there?

There will be SIX episodes in total, with each new one airing on Monday nights on Channel 4 at 8pm.

However, if you want to watch the whole thing in one go, without having to wait a week, set all of Geordie Hospital were made available to view as a box set on All4 from Monday, January 17.

A teaser for episode two reads: "Neurophysiotherapist Rachel, helps Jason learn to walk again after a serious accident at work.

"Reconstructive Plastic Surgeon, Dan, performs complex surgery on skin cancer patient, Bill, whose tumour returned 16 months after it was first removed.

"And 8 year old Violet’s life is transformed by corrective surgery to her feet, which should help with her walking, and help her feel more comfortable at school."
