The Resident Evil 4 remake is finally here, plunging gamers once again into a world of survival horror. A reimagined and rebuilt version of the fourth chapter in the hit franchise, the video game puts players back in the shoes of Leon Kennedy.
Leon is tasked with rescuing the president’s daughter from a remote European village filled with dangerous enemies. From rampaging villagers to eerie cultists, Resident Evil 4 pits players against an army of violent villains.
The game is mainly faithful to the 2005 original, following the same story but with improved graphics, refined dialogue, and only a handful of new additions. Capcom has added new enemies such as the tough cow-headed Brute, and new weapons like the Bolt Thrower.

How many chapters are in the Resident Evil 4 remake?
The Resident Evil 4 remake is split into 16 chapters. Like its predecessor, the game sees Leon make his way through three key areas: the village, the castle, and the island.
The village spans chapters one to six, the castle from seven to 12, and the island from 13 to 16. Most chapters can be expected to take around hour to beat, depending on difficulty and the amount of time spent hunting for treasures or completing side quests.
Players can now also tend to their inventory and save their game between chapters, as well as check their stats including playtime, accuracy, and deaths. The game doesn’t offer chapter select even after completion, so players gunning for 100 percent may want to consider making a separate manual save after each chapter so they can go back and box off any missed trophies/achievements.
