How many Baseball Hall of Famers were voted in unanimously? Will Ichiro join them?

It’s time once again for Baseball Hall of Fame voting to be revealed, and it seems like it’s a lock — and deservedly so — that Ichiro Suzuki will be headed to Cooperstown.

But will he be written in to every ballot by all the voting members of the BBWAA? On paper, he absolutely should be a no-doubt, first-ballot, unanimous selection.

Which brings us to some trivia: how many Hall of Famers were voted in unanimously?

The answer is … JUST ONE!

It wasn’t Derek Jeter. Not Ken Griffey Jr. Not Cal Ripken Jr.

That would be: Mariano Rivera in 2019. That’s it! We’ll see if Ichiro joins him.
