It was a very wet start on Thursday morning with heavy downpours hitting the North East - but there is more rain to come.
The Met Office issued a yellow weather warning for rain in Northumberland, County Durham and Tyne & Wear for Thursday, warning people to expect spells of persistent and at times heavy rainfall during the day. And the wet weather is set to continue on Friday.
Forecasters say Friday will bring heavy rain, though this is likely to clear by the evening. However, there is a further risk of showers on Saturday and Sunday, though not as heavy.
