How Liverpool and Everton compare to rivals as current Premier League disciplinary records learned

Everton currently rank as the Premier League's third dirtiest side, having amassed a whopping 31 cautions so far this season.

The Toffees trail Manchester United and Nottingham Forest in the rankings having picked up just one less booking in the 21/22 campaign, with Frank Lampard's introductions this campaign clearly making a difference. Sitting in 12th place overall at present, the Blues were in inspired form last time out by sweeping aside Crystal Palace by 3-0.

As for Jurgen Klopp's men they have picked up just a total of 13 yellow cards, with Darwin Nunez the only player to be sent off for Liverpool thus far. With no real consistency in terms of team selection perhaps hindering the Reds, they sit just above West Ham (12) and Man City (7) in the standings.

Given Anthony Gordon is the most booked player in Everton's side at present with six cards, midfielders Idrissa Gueye and Amadou Onana have both picked up three cautions too, further signifying Lampard's idea to toughen up the Toffees midfield.

With the obvious game plan working, some last season suggested the Blues were too easy to play against and would lie down if anyone stood up to their advances. Having fought back to stave off relegation deep into the 21/22 term, it's been an impressive start under Lampard's first full year in charge.

Here's how the rest of the Premier League teams rank up:
