How Jurgen Klopp could replace Mohamed Salah as Erik Ten Hag makes Liverpool claim

Here are your Liverpool morning headlines for Thursday, April 7.

Liverpool could replace Mohamed Salah with forward who walked out on Arsenal

If you had to replace Mohamed Salah, how on earth would you go about it? The Egyptian is easily one of the world’s top three players, even if the voters for the Ballon d’Or haven’t yet woken up to this reality.

Liverpool and their supporters will be hoping the club is not looking for a new right forward any time soon. Jurgen Klopp declared he is happy with how contract talks are progressing when speaking ahead of his side’s Champions League match with Benfica.

Liverpool faced Ten Hag’s side in the Champions League group stages last season and the coach was glowing in his assessment of the Reds. Speaking ahead of Liverpool’s eventual 1-0 win in Amsterdam - and just a few days after Virgil van Dijk ’s season-ending injury - the Ajax boss gave huge plaudits to Jurgen Klopp’s side.
