How Jordan Spieth weirdly got disqualified from a pro-am tournament

I didn’t think it was possible for a player — particularly a pro who’s among the top golfers in the world — to get DQ’d from a pro-am.

But that’s exactly what reportedly happened to Jordan Spieth on Monday when he was disqualified from the 2022 JP McManus Pro-Am, which is being held on Monday and Tuesday in Ireland.

Per the Twitter account @SpiethLegion (and hat tip to Golfweek), apparently Spieth picked up a would-be putt that, of course, was a blatant rule violation.

It happens, I guess!
