Met Eireann’s weather report for this week shows conditions to remain steady over the coming days.
Temperatures will remain quite high throughout the country, with sunny spells to stay. However, cloud, wind and light rain is forecast from today until Saturday.
Here is a county by county breakdown of the weather and temperatures from July 7 to July 9.

Leinster
In Leinster, this afternoon and evening will be dry with “good sunshine” in most parts. There will be light to moderate northwesterly winds. There will be cloudier conditions to the west of the province Temperatures will range from 19 to 22 degrees and drop to about 14 or 15 tonight.
It will stay dry tomorrow but the early morning will be cloudy. It will be sunny throughout the day, with highest temperatures from 19 to 21 degrees. Once again, there will be a light breeze.
Dublin : Highs of about 22 degrees are expected in Dublin today, and 21 degrees tomorrow. Both nights will be about 15 degrees. Saturday is expected to be about 18 degrees.
Carlow : Once again, highs of 22 degrees are expected in Carlow today and tomorrow. This evening, it will drop to about 13, while Friday night will be about 16. Highs of 21 are expected on Saturday.
Kildare : It is expected to hit about 20 degrees today in Kildare, which will drop to 13 overnight. Tomorrow, it will be 19 degrees and 14 at night. Saturday is expected to be 21 degrees.
Kilkenny : Highs of 23 degrees are expected in Kilkenny today, dropping to 12 overnight. It is said to be 22 degrees tomorrow and Saturday, which highs of 15 expected on Friday night.
Laois : It will be 21 degrees today in Laois, dropping to 12 overnight. Tomorrow and Saturday are expected to be 20 degrees, with highs of 14 on Friday night.
Longford : Today, it is said to be about 19 degrees in Longford, with this expected to drop to 13 later on. Tomorrow will be 18 degrees and 14 overnight. Saturday is expected to be about 20 degrees.
Louth : Highs of about 22 degrees are expected today in Louth. It is expected to be about 20 degrees tomorrow, with both nights to be 13. Saturday looks to be about 19 degrees.
Meath : It will be 21 degrees today in Meath, with Friday and Saturday looking to be about 19. Nights will fall to 14 degrees.
Offaly : Today, it will be 21 degrees, which will drop to 13 overnight. Tomorrow will be 19, dropping to 14 at night. Highs of 21 degrees are expected on Saturday.
Westmeath : It is expected to hit 20 degrees in Westmeath today, and drop to 13 overnight. Friday will see temperatures of about 18 degrees during the day and 14 at night. Saturday looks to be about 20 degrees.
Wexford : 20 degrees is expected in Wexford today, which will drop to 14 tonight. Highs of 22 during the day and 15 at night are expected on Friday, which will drop slightly to 19 on Saturday.
Wicklow : It will be 19 degrees in Wicklow today and tomorrow, falling to 11 and 12 overnight. It will be slightly cooler on Saturday at 16 degrees.
Munster
Today it will be dry with a “mix of cloud and sunshine” in Munster. Highest temperatures will be about 17 to 22 degrees and will be warmest in the southeast of the province. Once again, light to moderate northwesterly breezes are expected.
It will stay dry tonight, with lows of 11 to 13 degrees. Cloud will gradually build throughout the night following clearer spells.
It will stay dry tomorrow, despite a cloudy morning expected. The sun will come out in the afternoon and evening, with highs of 17 to 21 and light breezes.
Cork : It will reach 23 degrees in Cork today, dropping to 13 overnight. Tomorrow, it will be 22 degrees, which will fall to 15. On Saturday, it will also be 22 degrees.
Clare : It will be 20 degrees today and 11 tonight. It will hit 18 degrees on Friday and drop to 13 overnight. Highs of 21 degrees will hit on Saturday.
Kerry : Today will see highs of 20 degrees, with lows of 10. Tomorrow will reach 19 degrees and drop to 11 degrees tomorrow night. On Saturday, it will reach 19 degrees.
Limerick : Highs of 21 degrees are expected in Limerick today, which will drop to 12 tonight. It will reach 19 degrees on Friday, before falling to 14 overnight and shooting back up to 21 on Saturday.
Tipperary : It will be 21 degrees in Tipperary today, which will drop to 12 degrees tonight. Tomorrow, it will be 19 degrees, which will drop to 13. On Saturday, highs of 21 degrees are expected.
Waterford : Thursday will reach up to 24 degrees in Waterford, dropping down to 13 tonight, whilst Friday will reach 23 degrees. It will drop to just 15 degrees tomorrow night. It will hit highs of 23 again on Saturday.
Connacht
In Connacht, it will be largely dry throughout the afternoon and this evening “with sunny periods”. Coastal areas will see a slight bit more cloud. It will be warmest inland, with overall temperatures expected to hit 16 to 20 degrees.
There will be light to moderate northwesterly breezes that will keep up overnight. It will be largely dry with “just the odd patch of light rain” throughout tonight, with temperatures dropping to 12 to 14 degrees.
Friday will be a “mainly cloudy day” in Connacht, but the sun will break through. Light rain will fall at times but it will stay dry in most parts. There will be light breezes, with temperatures hitting about 16 to 19 degrees.
Galway : Today, it will reach 21 degrees in Galway. This will drop to 14 overnight before reaching highs of 18 tomorrow. It will be about 14 degrees again tomorrow night. On Saturday, it is expected to be about 18 degrees.
Leitrim : It is expected to be about 18 degrees in Leitrim today, dropping to 13 later on. It will be slightly cooler on Friday at 17 degrees, once again falling to 13 overnight. On Saturday, highs of 20 degrees are expected.
Mayo : It will be 17 degrees in Mayo this afternoon, dropping to 13 this evening. On Friday, highs of just 16 degrees are expected, which will fall to 13 once again. It is expected to reach 19 degrees on Saturday, and fall to a cool 11 degrees at night.
Roscommon : Highs of 19 degrees are expected in Roscommon today, falling to 13 overnight. It will reach 18 degrees tomorrow and drop to 14 overnight. Saturday is expected to be slightly warmer at 20 degrees.
Sligo : Temperatures look to be slightly cooler in Sligo over the next few days, with today hitting just 15 degrees, 13 overnight. Friday will be the same whilst Saturday looks to be about 17 degrees.
Ulster
In Ulster, it will be cloudy throughout the afternoon and the evening today, with some sunshine peeking through. Temperatures will hit about 16 to 20 degrees. It will be warmest towards the southeast of the province. There will be light to moderate northwesterly breezes.
Light patchy rain is expected in places this evening, with cloudy skies throughout. Lowest temperatures will range from about 12 to 14, with breezes.
The south and east of Ulster will be “largely dry” tomorrow, with some sunshine at times. The north and west will be “quite dull with patchy light rain or drizzle”. There will be highs of about 16 to 19 degrees with light wind.
Antrim : It will hit about 19 degrees today, which will fall to 15 overnight. Tomorrow and Satuday will both be 18 degrees, with temperatures expected to fall to 11 degrees on Friday night.
Derry : Both Thursday and Friday will be just 16 degrees in Derry, with tonight expected to be about 13 degrees. Tomorrow night will drop to 10 degrees before reaching 17 on Saturday.
Down : Highs of 21 degrees are expected today, falling to 13 this evening. On Friday, it is expected to be 18 degrees in Down, which will drop to 10 overnight. It will reach 19 on Saturday.
Tyrone : It will reach 18 degrees today and tomorrow in Tyrone, with temperatures to fall to 13 degrees tonight. Friday night will be cooler at 11, before reaching 17 on Saturday.
Armagh : Highs of 21 degrees will be felt in Armagh today. It is expected to be 14 degrees overnight. Both Friday and Saturday will be 19 degrees, with temperatures dropping to 11 tomorrow night.
Fermanagh : Thursday and Friday will be 17 degrees, with temperatures falling to 13 degrees on both nights. Saturday will be 18 degrees.
Cavan : Today, it will reach up to 19 degrees in Cavan and fall to 13 overnight. It will be about 18 degrees tomorrow, which will drop to 14 later on. Saturday is expected to reach 19 degrees.
Monaghan : It is expected to hit 19 degrees in Monaghan today, falling to 13 tonight. It will be 18 degrees tomorrow and fall to 12 overnight. 19 degrees is expected on Saturday.
Donegal : Today, it will be slightly cooler in Donegal at 16 degrees and 13 overnight. Rain is expected tomorrow, with highs of 17 during the day and 12 overnight. Saturday will also see highs of 17 degrees.
