After an abrupt end to Friday's heatwave people in Wales will be happy to hear that the country is forecast for more great weather throughout the coming week. With the longest day approaching on Tuesday 21, June, there couldn't be a better time for it either.
The Met Office predicts highs of 24C for Wales with "plenty of warm sunshine for all" in the coming week. However the BBC states it could be as high as 27C on Thursday, leaving plenty to look forward to this week. Temperatures will drop again by Friday and some summer showers are forecast but it's still expected to be warm with numbers expected to be in the high teens across Wales.
Weatherman Derek Brockway added: "Plenty of fine and dry weather to come in the week ahead. Sunshine and warming-up again too. 25°C in Pontypridd on Wednesday. It may turn more unsettled and cooler later in the week. 18°C on Friday." Take a look at the forecast for the week below.

Monday
On Monday the Met Office predicts highs of 22Cwith the weather bring a "dry day with plenty of sunshine". There will be some cloudy patches out to the west at times however for the majority it should feel "pleasantly warm".
Tuesday
The longest day of the year will bring "plenty of warm sunshine for all", according to the Met Office. Temperatures are predicted to rise further with highs of 24C in some areas of Wales.
Wednesday
The temperature will continue to rise on Wednesday with highs of 25C anticipated in Pontypridd by weatherman Derek Brockway. The Met Office anticipates sunshine across Wales throughout the day and says it will be feeling warm with a light wind.
Thursday
As it stands Thursday is set to be the warmest day of the week with the BBC's long-range forecast predicting highs of 27C in Wales. However some showers are anticipated overnight and into Friday so don't be packing away the raincoats just yet.
Friday
The weather returns to the high teens in Wales on Friday with the period of warm weather being ousted by some summer showers.
