Further train strikes mean that today (Saturday October 29) there will be an extremely limited service in Glasgow.
The RMT announced that its ScotRail general grades members will take part in 24-hour strike action today, resulting from a pay dispute. ScotRail have since announced that because of this, there will be a very limited number of services which will operate on a very limited number of routes.

The following routes will run between 7.30am and 6.30pm today:
- Milngavie – Edinburgh via Glasgow Queen Street Low Level: two trains per hour
- Glasgow – Lanark: one train per hour
- Glasgow - Larkhall: one train per hour
This means there will be no service except on routes connecting East Dunbartonshire, Glasgow and Edinburgh, and connecting Glasgow and South Lanarkshire. The rail company has said they are only able to run these journeys 'due to the number of contingency staff required to cover the shifts of those on strike'.
ScotRail has also advised that those who need to travel on these services should plan ahead and consider alternative modes of transport where possible.
You can find full information and check individual journeys on ScotRail's website, here.
