How do you rate Spurs' owners and the atmosphere at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium?

The new Premier League season has almost arrived for Tottenham, with the first fixture taking place on home soil. The opening match at the new stadium was a 2-0 victory against Crystal Palace, at the start of April 2019.

Since then, there have some been some great moments in N17 and a lot of changes behind closed doors too. Tottenham have seen five different managers in charge, since the opening of the stadium, experiencing highs and lows with them all.

With Antonio Conte now in charge, things are looking up, both on and off the pitch. The Lilywhites are hoping for a successful season ahead and the summer has involved some good preparation for it.

Just a day before the Lilywhites' first game of the new season, our Tottenham writer Emma de Duve, has been answering some of the questions that are included in our 'Big Spurs Forum'.

How much do you approve of your club's ownership?

I think there has been a lot of controversy regarding Tottenham's ownership in recent times and understandably. There have been many struggles at Spurs, both with managerial changes and with how money has been spent during transfer windows.

However, I think it is clear to see the major changes that have already been made and the impact they have so far had. Bringing Conte to N17 was a big move and the fact Tottenham got it over the line showed ambition in itself.

This summer, the Italian has been backed with six new arrivals that have already made the move to the capital. However, these signings have been made without having to spend hundreds of millions of pounds on them all, with both Ivan Perisic and Fraser Forster making the move on free transfers.

There is still a way to go for Spurs to be competing with those at the top of the Premier League, but the business and support the owners have completed recently, has to be commended.

How do you rate the atmosphere inside your club’s stadium on match day?

I think there is nothing like going to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on match day. The new stadium means it isn't just about watching the game, fans turn up early and leave late - it's a whole experience.

The atmosphere can only be an advantage on the pitch too, likely to boost the Spurs players and act as a threat to opposing sides.

Tottenham fans don't stop singing throughout games and this was clear to see on a number of occasions last season. From the opening fixture against Man City, to the most recent North London Derby: Spurs fans know how to make noise.
