How do I get Peacock for Dolphins – Chiefs? A simple guide for NFL fans who want to watch the Wild Card playoff game

The clock is ticking, NFL fans.

If you want to watch Saturday’s Kansas City Chiefs and Miami Dolphins Wild Card playoff game, you’ve only got days left until you can subscribe to Peacock — the NBC streaming service — so you can watch it.

Because, like the Buffalo Bills and Los Angeles Chargers game earlier this season, this one will be streaming ONLY on Peacock, much to the consternation of fans (and one Chiefs player).

So if you don’t have Peacock and you want it to watch this game, we’re here to help. Here’s everything you need to know ahead of Saturday:

What is Peacock?

It’s the streaming service owned by NBCUniversal that has the company’s TV shows both as of now and in the past like The OfficeBrooklyn Nine-Nine and Downton Abbey. There are movies like American Psycho, Casino and Shrek.

And, oh yes, live sports like NFL games.

How much does it cost?

Nathan Ray Seebeck-USA TODAY Sports

It’s $5.99 per month, but you can also do $11.99 for a premium option.

Can I get a free trial for this game?

Nathan Ray Seebeck-USA TODAY Sports

Sorry, no.

Can I cancel after I watch the game?

If you so choose! But you’ll still be charged for a month of it.

Are there going to be more streaming-only NFL games in the future

Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

Probably. This is what Peacock gets for paying a reported $110 million for the rights, and while it may infuriate those who don’t subscribe, it’s a smart business decision.
