Liverpool lost their first game of the Premier League season last night as they were beaten 2-1 at Manchester United.
The Reds looked well under-par and paid the price for a lacklustre opening half an hour, falling a goal behind. United added a second after the break before Mohamed Salah got one back with 10 minutes to play but the damage was already done.
Jurgen Klopp has plenty on his plate after his side failed to register a win in the first three matches of the new Premier League season. A significantly large injury list has limited the German's options, particularly in midfield. Thiago, Naby Keita, Curtis Jones and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain were all missing against United and Fabinho found himself on the bench, as the trio of James Milner, Jordan Henderson and Harvey Elliott struggled to cope with the intensity of their arch rivals.

So what can Klopp now do to turn his midfield woes around? So far, the club has resisted a delve into the transfer market to acquire reinforcements. Borussia Dortmund star Jude Bellingham is a known target but with a huge price tag on his head, is considered a more attainable option for next season. Should the Reds be looking elsewhere?
Perhaps the answer already lies within the squad. Fabio Carvalho has impressed in the cameo performances he has had off the bench so far and could now get his chance as Klopp looks to find the right blend of youth and experience.
How can Liverpool balance the engine room out to get the most of their lethal forwards or is a new signing or two the only real option?
