Mick Lynch to debunk more right-wing nonsense on Question Time tonight

Tonight's show will be hosted by Fiona Bruce in Stratford-upon-Avon

THE weekly debate show hosted by Fiona Bruce is taking place in Stratford-upon-Avon this evening.

Among panellists appearing tonight is Mick Lynch, the General Secretary of the RMT, who has been making a splash on the UK media rounds with his straight-to-the-point manner.

When is Question Time on and how can I watch?

Question Time starts at 10.40pm and will be broadcast on BBC One. It will also be available to watch on BBC iPlayer.

Below is a list of all the guests who will be appearing this evening.

Mick Lynch

The General Secretary of the RMT has been making waves in the British media this week with his no-nonsense approach to questions put to him about the rail strikes.

Lynch became involved with the RMT when he started working for Eurostar in 1993 and has been speaking this week about the “appalling” treatment of railway workers.

Throughout the week, he has clashed with the likes of Kay Burley, Piers Morgan and Sophy Ridge.

Many people have enjoyed Lynch's clashes with well known media figures

Rachel Maclean

The Conservative MP for Redditch and the Safeguarding Minister is also set to appear on the show tonight.

In terms of political interests, she has previously sat on the Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy Committee between September 2017 and June 2018.

Outside of politics, Maclean set up a publishing company in 2005 with her husband specialising in IT and software content.

Nick Thomas-Symonds

The Shadow Secretary of State for International Trade was elected as MP for Torfaen in 2015.

He has previously served as the Shadow Home Secretary and held several junior shadow ministerial posts.

Before life in politics, Thomas-Symonds was a commercial barrister at Civitas Law and is a published author.

Anne Boden

Born in Wales in 1960, Boden worked in the financial sector for 30 years before founding Starling Bank in 2014.

In 2020, she became a member of the board of the trade association for the UK’s banks and financial services companies.

She serves as the company’s CEO and has also had a book published.

Ben Habib

Habib was elected as a Brexit Party Member of the European Parliament at the 2019 election and remained in the role up until the United Kingdom’s withdrew from the EU.

He campaigned for Brexit on the basis that the UK’s trade opportunities would be better if they were no longer in Europe and that there should be greater control of immigration.

He also has several business interests and is currently the chief executive of First Property Group, an investment and fund management company.
