The Premier League title will be won by either Arsenal or Manchester City today.
It has already been an historical season for the Gunners, with 27 league wins racked up so far for the first time by the club - a feat not even the Invincibles managed two decades ago.
That was the last time Arsenal lifted the trophy and last weekend’s 1-0 win over Manchester United meant they kept the pressure on champions Man City, who responded by winning against Tottenham on Tuesday night.
That result means Arsenal don’t have destiny in their own hands heading into their meeting with Everton at the Emirates Stadium this afternoon.
They trail City by two points but have a superior goal difference. Arsenal therefore must hope City slip up against West Ham while beating the Toffees themselves.
Should City lose or draw and Arsenal win, that would be enough thanks to the Gunners’ goal difference.
No matter what happens at the Etihad, an Arsenal draw or defeat would hand City the title.
