Caitlyn Jenner 's wedding to Linda Thompson was heavily inspired by her ex-boyfriend and first lover Elvis Presley.
I'm A Celebrity star Caitlyn married second wife Linda back in 1981, before her transition when she was known as Bruce.
But before their relationship began, Linda dated King of Rock 'n' Roll Elvis for four and a half years, from 1972 to 1976.
Linda even lost her virginity to Elvis, writing in her book A Little Thing Called Life that .
Linda also revealed in her book that she had joked to Elvis when they were together, as they lay in bed watching Bruce win gold in the decathlon at the 1972 Olympics, that she'd marry the athlete one day.
Elvis told her that would happen 'over his dead body'.
Linda and Elvis had split around eight months before his tragic death at the age of 42, but they had remained very close and continued to say "I love you" after their romance ended.
Linda and Elvis had spoken about getting married and having children, and when she married Bruce on January 5, 1981, in Oahu, Hawaii, Elvis was very much a part of their big day.
Linda, who explains she'll refer to Caitlyn as 'Bruce' and 'he' when talking about pre-transition times, says he proposed after she shared the happy news that she was pregnant with their first child, Brandon.
At the time, Bruce was still technically married to first wife Chrystie, and they planned to wed after the divorce was finalised.
Linda walked down the aisle when she was five months pregnant.
She wrote in her book: "We were married at the beautiful home of Allan Carr [producer of movie Can't Stop The Music, which Bruce had starred in] on the Hawaiian island of Oahu, there were only about thirty-five people in attendance, including our parents.
"Bruce's son, Burt, served as best man - even though he was only two years old and was constantly interrupting our nuptials with 'I want up'. It was touching and lent a warm, familial mood to the ceremony."
Linda's nieces, Jennifer and Amy Thompson, were her flower girls in what she described as an "exquisitely beautiful wedding".
They said 'I do' at 6pm, as the sun set over the Pacific.
Linda designed her wedding gown herself and had it specially made, and said she felt like "Mother Nature herself, with a baby blooming in my belly".
She said their wedding day proved how secure Bruce was.
She wrote: "Bruce was a very secure man, because the music I chose to have playing as I walked down the aisle was Elvis Presley's Hawaiian Wedding Song.
"It had always been my dream to get married in Hawaii. It was a dream to get married in Hawaii. It was a dream spawned by Elvis' movie Blue Hawaii, which I'd watched over and over as a little girl, and every time I saw it I thought how romantic it would be to get married in that tropical paradise.
"To Bruce's credit, he want along with my fairytale plans for a cinematically inspired wedding at the base of Diamond Head crater on Honolulu's Wakiki Beach, in Allan Carr's Japanese garden at sunset.
"Only Elvis was missing from my proverbial fairy tale. Still, I had found a new Prince Charming."
