How Bristol City's season ticket prices compare with their Championship rivals

Bristol City can consider themselves a mid-table Championship side when it comes to season ticket prices as the cheapest adult seat available at Ashton Gate is the 12th priciest in the division.

An adult season ticket in the Lansdown Upper for the forthcoming 2023/24 campaign costs £375, £159 less than the lowest priced at Norwich City’s Carrow Road, which by that metric is the most expensive in the league.

City did deliver a small price hike for next season with a rise of around 3 per cent but in the context of their Championship value that can still be seen as representing value, with the likes of Coventry City, Blackburn Rovers and Watford - in similar-sized stadiums - all above them.

The Robins do, however, offer one of the more expensive season tickets in the division with a seat in the centre of the Lansdown Stand costing £675, a figure which drags their overall average season ticket price to the seventh-most expensive among their rivals.

City have already breached the 14,000-mark for season ticket sales for next season, which is close to matching their number from the last campaign, with optimism that they go beyond 15,000 as optimism abides in BS3.

Incremental growth under Nigel Pearson coupled with some impressive early additions in the transfer market and a feeling that this group of players are yet to hit their ceiling and given rise to the theory that the Robins could be play-off contenders.

Speaking earlier this week, Pearson said: “We really want to be pushing right to the top next season. It’ll be a tough league because the teams that have come down from the Premier League are strong, so are the teams that have come up.”

You can see the full list of season ticket prices for 23 of the Championship’s 24 clubs based on cheapest available and then average overall.
