How BBC newsreader Huw Edwards lost three stone

BBC newsreader Huw Edwards has said he was on a regime to lose weight ahead of the Coronation. Huw is pivotal in the BBC's coverage of the international event.

Huw lost three stone when he started a fitness regime in 2019, but says some of the weight had crept back on.

Speaking ahead of the ceremony, the presenter told The Mirror: "I am going to have to lose a stone no question. I am just a bit too tight around the waist."

He added: "So maybe my boxing workouts will now have to go up to two a week… I am now down to one a week, as well as one run a week."

He previously kept fans up to date with his fitness progress on his Instagram account, training with ex-boxer Clinton McKenzie.

His three-stone weight loss was down to a simple yet efficient routine.

He swears by just two boxing sessions a week. The presenter also undergoes suspension training, which uses gravity and your body weight to work the muscles.

"The boxing training is going pretty well. I do my boxing two or three times a week," he previously told The Mirror.

"I do TRX 9suspension weight training) too, but only once a week in the park otherwise people will think I am going completely mad."

The father-of-five told The Sun: "I feel better than I have for years and it's great getting so many compliments."
