Every summer those who suffer from hay fever are put through months of discomfort.
But for some this year has been different and people have been complaining about the 'headlock' hayfever has put them in this summer. At the start of the month, the Met Office warned high pollen levels could hit Merseyside and since then the consistent sunshine has certainly not helped sufferers.
This week the pollen count has been causing havoc over the area, with sufferers saying it gets 'worse and worse' each year. One even said it feels 'like I'm having a heart attack'.
On Twitter, Charlotte from Liverpool said she was 'feeling very sorry for myself' after a "terrible night's sleep' brought on by a mix of hay fever and air pressure.
Rebecca Garnett said: "My hayfever has just properly kicked in today as well. Fun isn’t it!"
