Jared Verse is a really talented rookie linebacker for the Los Angeles Rams, so maybe he didn’t know that you shouldn’t poke the bear when it comes to Philadelphia Eagles fans.

But perhaps that was his plan, right? To draw their attention?

Whatever he was doing, he had this to say leading up to Sunday’s matchup: “I hate Eagles fans. They’re so annoying … When I see that green and white I hate it. I actually get upset. Like I actually genuinely get hot.”

Saquon Barkley put it best when he noted that it wasn’t the smartest thing to say when you’re entering enemy territory.
