Yemen's Houthi rebels have claimed responsibility for a drone attack on the Tel Aviv area overnight. The Iran-backed militant group stated on Thursday that they had targeted a location in the Israeli city, although specific details were not provided.
The Israeli military reported that two drones were identified after warning sirens were activated in the coastal city of Bat Yam, located south of Tel Aviv. The military successfully intercepted one drone over the sea, while the second drone landed in an open area. Fortunately, there were no injuries reported as a result of the incident.
On the previous night, witnesses in Tel Aviv observed what appeared to be intercepts in the sky above the Mediterranean Sea. The situation remains under investigation as tensions in the region continue to escalate.
