Housebuilder Beal turns to EYG to glaze FOUR new developments in £3.7m deal after home town scheme success

Beal Homes has strengthened its ties with fellow East Yorkshire family-owned firm EYG, with the award of four further housing development contracts woth £3.7 million.

In a move described as positive for local jobs and keeping business in the region, the 50-year-old glazing specialist will fit windows and doors at the West Hill II development in Kirk Ella; The Greenways, in Goole; St Mary’s View in Beverley, and Bishop’s Green, in Welton, Lincolnshire.

It follows an initial high-profile win last year on the 80-home Pilgrims Walk in Hessle.

Beal chief executive Richard Beal said: “As a business founded and based locally and delivering high-quality homes across the region, we’re committed to using local suppliers and contractors whenever possible.

“The appointment of EYG to work on these developments will contribute to the delivery of our mission to offer Beal buyers exceptional quality of design, materials and service.”

EYG’s UPVC windows, composite and casement doors, and aluminium bifold doors were chosen by the client, with first residents now moved in on the original site.

EYG managing director Nick Ward said the Beal contract is a vote of confidence from the award-winning housebuilder in the skills of its local workforce.

He said: “This is a very exciting opportunity for EYG to be involved in creating homes of exceptional quality with the region’s leading independent housebuilder.

“Both EYG and Beal were both founded locally over 50 years ago and remain family businesses, despite growing and evolving over the decades.

“To work with another local business to deliver high-quality homes in our region is very special and we are delighted to have been appointed as Beal’s glazing partner.

“We have a successful history of working on large construction projects, and this is an outstanding series of residential developments to add to our portfolio. As with all Beal developments, these homes are highly sought-after, and benefit from quality workmanship from a highly-skilled local workforce, including our teams.”

Beal is curently building a new headquarters at Bridgehead Business Park in Hessle.
