Housebuilder Beal moves to help buyers' peace of mind with £3,000 cash back as mortgages and bills rise

Hull housebuilder Beal Homes is providing a £3,000 peace of mind pledge for buyers.

The innovative step to keep the market moving will see 12 payments of £250 provided for those completing purchases before the year-end.

It comes with rising mortgage rates and cost-of-living concerns front and centre for families and first time buyers.

Sue Waudby, Beal’s sales and marketing director, said: “We appreciate energy bills and living costs are putting pressure on households and we want to offer meaningful support to our buyers at this time. Moving into a brand new home is a very special moment and buyers shouldn’t have that experience spoiled by worrying about bills.

“The £250 monthly Beal Buyer Bonus will make a big difference to our customers and give them peace of mind, enabling them to focus on settling into and enjoying their new home.”

The Hessle-headquartered company, which has seen sales increase from £46.4 million to £52.8 million in the past year, is currently building at Kirk Ella, Hessle, Welton, Beverley, Preston and Goole - its biggest single development - in East Yorkshire and at Gainsborough and Welton in Lincolnshire.

The team said that while new-build homes are naturally more energy efficient and much cheaper to run, the bonus will be especially welcome for buyers when bills are at their highest. A new report, Watt a Save by the Home Builders Federation, has found buyers of new-build homes will save an average of more than £2,000 a year, while also cutting their carbon emissions by over two tonnes.

The report found the average annual running cost of a new-build home to be £1,500, compared to an average of £3,570 for older properties.
