Armed police were spotted in Walton carrying out searches.
Police officers, carrying guns, were patrolling City Road and Gwladys Street while a firearms warrant was carried out at a property in the area. Merseyside police confirmed the searches were connected to gun related crimes.
The search took place, at around 7.30pm, on Tuesday, September 6. Roads were cordoned off by detectives while the warrants were carried out.

Officers are not believed to have found any evidence during a search of the address and no arrests were made.
A spokesperson for Merseyside police said: "We can confirm officers executed a firearms warrant in the Everton area on, Tuesday 6 September. At around 7.30pm officers attended a property where a search is being carried out. No arrests were made."
