House Oversight Chair Requests DOJ Investigation Of James Biden

Joe Biden looks focused.

House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer has requested the Justice Department to investigate and prosecute President Biden's brother, James Biden, for allegedly making false statements to Congress. Comer sent a letter to Trump's nominee for attorney general, Pam Bondi, urging the DOJ to hold James Biden accountable for lying to Congress to protect his brother, President Biden.

In June, House Republicans sent criminal referrals for James Biden and Hunter Biden to the Justice Department, accusing them of making false statements to Congress during the impeachment inquiry of President Biden. Comer stated that the alleged false statements implicated President Biden's involvement in his family's influence-peddling schemes.

Comer, along with other House committee chairs, led the impeachment inquiry into President Biden and found him guilty of engaging in impeachable conduct, abusing his office, and defrauding the United States to enrich his family. Comer highlighted President Biden's pardon of his son, Hunter Biden, and criticized the lack of accountability for James Biden.

The criminal referral to the Justice Department stated that James Biden denied Joe Biden's meeting with a business associate for a Chinese transaction, despite evidence suggesting otherwise. Comer accused President Biden of obstructing the committee's impeachment inquiry and leaving behind a legacy of dishonesty and corruption.

Hunter Biden recently received a full and unconditional pardon from President Biden, covering nearly 11 years of conduct, including firearm offenses and federal tax crimes. Special Counsel David Weiss criticized Biden for maligning the Justice Department and making false claims about the investigation.

Comer called out President Biden for lying about not pardoning his son and accused him of using political persecution as an excuse. He emphasized the need for accountability for James Biden's false statements to Congress and urged the DOJ to take action.

Comer concluded by stating that no one should be above the law, regardless of their last name, and reiterated the importance of holding James Biden responsible for his actions.
