House Intelligence Chair Mike Turner has raised concerns about Hunter Biden's involvement in recent White House meetings where classified information may have been discussed. In a letter addressed to White House Chief of Staff Jeff Zeints, Turner requested a full accounting of any classified information disclosed during these meetings. He also asked for a recount of all meetings that Hunter Biden attended.
Turner expressed his unease at the events taking place in the West Wing and emphasized the need for transparency regarding the presence of the president's son in such discussions.
Following a two-day stay at Camp David, President Joe Biden returned to the White House accompanied by Hunter Biden, his wife Melissa, and son Beau. Hunter was reported to have joined the president in meeting with staff to prepare for a speech related to the Supreme Court's presidential immunity ruling.
White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre confirmed that Hunter Biden was present during the speech preparation and spent time with his father and family during their stay at Camp David.
Furthermore, Hunter Biden was observed entering the East Room of the White House ahead of a Medal of Honor ceremony on Wednesday.
Notably, Hunter Biden was recently found guilty on three federal felony gun charges by a federal jury. His involvement in the GOP-led impeachment inquiry into the president has also been highlighted.
