House in Newark with extensive damage sells for over £80,000 at auction

An extensively damaged house in Nottinghamshire has been sold at auction for over £80,000. The property, located on Tolney Lane in Newark, went under the hammer at the end of last month.

Pictures from inside the property show a hole in one of the rooms at the front of the house and upstairs in the three-storey terraced home. After the auction, which took place on Wednesday, March 30, the house was sold for £81,000.

Describing the property, Bonde Wolfe states: "The property benefits from having a gas fired central heating system and UPVC double glazing, however it is in need of complete refurbishment." It also came with off-road parking to the side of the property.

Before its sale, a guide price of £39,000 plus fees was given to the property - which ended up going for more than double that sum. It comes with two reception rooms, a dining kitchen, three bedrooms (one with an en-suite), a dressing room, two landings and three bathrooms.
