Renters searching for a room in Dublin have hit out at what they labelled "pure greed" after discovering a converted attic in an old house advertised as a "penthouse apartment."
The room, which is located in the Phibsborough area of the capital, was advertised on Daft.ie for €2,250 per month.
House hunters have expressed their shock and disgust at the listing, which has since been removed from the site.

The supposed "penthouse apartment" which was documented on the Instagram page 'crazyhouseprices', which exposes the worst of Ireland's property and rental market, was advertised as an ensuite, and according to pictures was fully furnished with a dormer window.
One unimpressed commenter said that it "looks like it's roughly 12 square metres in area. The regulation size for a prison cell is a minimum 7 square metres", while another added: "Madness, should be laws against this."
Another highly-rated comment said: "Why move to Manhattan or Miami when you can have a luxurious penthouse in Phibsborough?"
The crazyhouseprices page, run by Ciaran Mulqueen, has been set up to help people buy their own home. Mr Mulqueen is also the author of How To Buy A Home in Ireland.
One individual, referring to themselves as a landlord, commented on the "penthouse" property post thanking Mr Mulqueen for exposing those landlords looking to take advantage of tenants.
They said: "I’m a (new) landlord, and rent below what other similar properties advertise for. I also have great tenants, so I’m very happy with it all. I’m delighted that someone out there is exposing this type of madness, greed, and shocking behavior from some landlords. Keep up the good work."
One final commenter remarked: "And they could post the ad without laughing?"
