House Homeland Security Chairman To Hold Virtual Briefing

Congressman Mark Green

House Homeland Security Chairman Mark Green recently held a call with US Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle to address the historic security failures that occurred during Saturday's rally at the Capitol. Green, a Tennessee Republican, raised pressing questions regarding the events that transpired and requested information from Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas.

During the call, Cheatle assured Green that the requested documents would be provided to the committee promptly. In response to the ongoing inquiries, the committee majority has scheduled a virtual briefing with Cheatle on Monday to allow members to express their concerns and seek clarification on the matter.
