House GOP leaders are set to make a significant move towards advancing Donald Trump's legislative agenda by bringing their comprehensive budget blueprint to the floor on Tuesday, as reported by two GOP sources. If the House GOP budget measure is approved, it would pave the way for Republicans to start drafting legislation that allocates $4.5 trillion towards tax cuts and $300 billion for border and military programs. Additionally, the budget would raise the debt limit for approximately two years, aligning with Trump's request.
However, there is uncertainty regarding whether Speaker Mike Johnson has enough votes for the measure. The budget blueprint also includes a directive for Congress to slash a substantial $2 trillion from government programs, a move that has raised concerns among some GOP members who fear the impact may be predominantly felt in Medicaid and food assistance programs.

On the other hand, the Senate GOP passed its own budget measure early Friday morning. Their plan is notably more focused, aiming to advance select components of Trump's agenda.
