House GOP Chair Elise Stefanik recently criticized Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, labeling him as a 'failed Member of Congress and a failed Governor.' Stefanik, along with other top congressional Republicans, referred to Walz as a 'radical' and focused their attacks on his handling of the Black Lives Matter protests in 2020.

Stefanik expressed concern over Senator Bernie Sanders' support for Walz, stating that the selection of Walz as Kamala Harris' running mate confirms the Democratic Party's move towards a 'radical Far Left wing ticket.' She further accused the potential Harris-Walz ticket of being dangerous for American families, citing concerns about the economy and national security.

Senator Lindsey Graham also criticized Walz for his response to the Black Lives Matter protests, highlighting his support for legislation providing free college and healthcare to illegal immigrants. Graham described Walz as sitting on the sidelines while Minneapolis faced unrest.

Republican Senator Joni Ernst echoed similar sentiments, referring to Walz as 'Bernie Sanders' choice for VP' and labeling the Democratic ticket as 'the most radical in American history.'

In contrast, Bernie Sanders publicly endorsed Walz as a valuable asset to Kamala Harris' campaign and potential administration. Sanders praised Walz's background as a public school teacher, football coach, and union supporter, emphasizing his track record of delivering for working families in Minnesota.
