Hour-by-hour weather forecast as Leeds set for a scorching weekend

We're set for a scorcher of a weekend in Leeds as summer heats up.

Temperatures are hitting the high 20s for the first time this year on Saturday June 10 and Sunday June 11. There is a chance of some rain and thunderstorms too, with a yellow warning in place for Yorkshire and the Humber.

The warning is in place on Sunday from 12pm until 9pm. The Met Office are warning thunderstorms and rain could cause some disruption.

Here's the weather forecast, hour by hour, for Leeds over the weekend.

Saturday morning: 8am to 11am

It's a very clear and sunny morning in Leeds, with sun out in full force from when it rises at 4.37am. The temperature is slowly climbing throughout the morning, from 14C at 8am to 20C at 11am.

Saturday early afternoon: Midday to 4pm

It's remaining sunny and dry for most of the afternoon in Leeds as temperatures continue to climb. It's set to hit 28C around 3pm.

There's a brief blip of thunderstorms and rain forecast at 4pm, likely to be combined with some sun still.

Saturday evening: 5pm to midnight

But after the thunderstorms are gone, the Met Office is predicting a return to blistering sunshine from 5pm on wards until sunset. The sun will go down around 9.35pm.

It'll be around 17C still at midnight.

Sunday morning: 8am to 11am

Sunday will see a start with a mix of clouds and sunny intervals. Again, the temperatures will be increasing from around 14C at 7am to 19C by nearly midday.

The sun is rising at 4.36am.

Sunday afternoon: Midday to 4pm

The afternoon is also set for a mix of clouds and sunny intervals. The day is set to get up to 26C around 4pm.

Sunday evening: 4pm to midnight

Around 7pm there is a slight chance of rain, but not much. The day is set to finish out with some sunny intervals before the sun sets at 9.36pm.

It'll still be around 17C at midnight as we head into Monday.
