While North East residents may well have become accustomed to miserable weather we've been suffering, brighter and warmer days are on the horizon - with experts predicting smooth sunshine over the next couple of days.
Despite overcast skies predicted through the night, the sun will be shining by late morning tomorrow according to officials at the Met Office - staying strong until sunset without interruption. Highs of 11C and lows of 7C are expected to accompany the glorious golden aura beaming down.
And Wednesday's three-hour forecast as it stands shows more of the same, with more sun from start to finish. Temperatures between 10C and 6C are anticipated come hump day.

The Met Office says to expect: "Low cloud and patchy fog clearing gradually to leave a fine and dry day with plenty of sunshine. Warm in the sunshine, but feeling colder at the coast.
"Breezy. Maximum temperature 11 °C."
