While residents across the North East will have made the most of sunny skies and calm conditions this week, the weekend looks to bring a much more bleak affair.
While the sun will return once again tomorrow, the glorious beams will come in intervals - as it bobs in and out of clouds which will begin forming in the morning. Highs of 11C and lows of 8C are still expected regardless, according to experts at the Met Office.
Saturday however looks to be drab and dull, with thick grey skies throughout and heavy showers from the morning to mid-afternoon. Highs of 10C and lows of 7C are set to come respectively.

The Met Office says: "Dry with bright or sunny intervals for many through the day. Turning cloudier from the south in the evening, with outbreaks of rain or showers pushing northwards overnight.
"Breezy. Maximum temperature 12 °C."
