Hour-by-hour forecast as Greater Manchester weather to turn

After enjoying a long week of sunshine and high temperatures, Mancunians will have to begin preparing themselves for a wave of wet weather.

Greater Manchester and the rest of the North West region will likely see spots of rain for the majority of this week, according to the Met Office. Wind speeds are also expected to be higher this week, peaking at 22mph on Monday (June 27), which could make temperatures feel colder than they are.

However, it is good news for pollen sufferers who will likely experience less frequent reactions with the pollen count staying consistently low throughout the rest of the week.

The Met Office said it expects: "Frequent showers are expected in the first part of the morning, including some heavy ones. The showers will clear in the late morning to leave a dry and sunny afternoon. Maximum temperature 17 °C.

It adds that tonight will see "a sunny evening" followed by a "generally dry night" which will also see wind speeds increase.
