Aaron Donald managed to break free of his assignment during the second quarter against the Seahawks, giving him a clear path to quarterback Geno Smith as he rushed for a sack.
With the Rams superstar defensive tackle rushing towards him, Smith could be overheard letting out a genuine and terrified reaction.
As Smith threw the ball to the feet of rookie Jaxon Smith-Njigba, the 32-year-old could be overheard on the hot mic yelling, “Oh my God!”
Donald evaded a double-team block on the line and managed to get into the backfield untouched. Just before arriving to light up Smith, the quarterback released the ball while voicing his fear.

It comes as no surprise that Seattle did not pick up a first down on that play. Donald was pressuring Smith before his receivers were able to get into their routes. As a result, Smith wisely dumping the pass into the ground in order to avoid a potentially massive hit.
While he won’t be credited with a sack, Donald was certainly the reason that play failed for the Seahawks, applying enough pressure to warrant a loud reaction from Smith.
