Hot Frosty Is The Netflix Christmas Movie Brave Enough To Ask: Should Snowmen F*ck?

Alright, listen up you festive freaks, because Netflix has just dropped the most bonkers Christmas rom-com since that time your nan got pissed on the Christmas punch and tried to pash Santa at the local Westfield (the things I’ve seen at a Westfield will haunt me).

Enter Hot Frosty, Netflix’s latest Christmas themed rom-com, that essentially takes the classic Frosty The Snowman, chucked him in a blender with the movie Life-Size and Magic Mike, and out popped a rom-com that’ll make you question everything you thought you knew about snow-people relations.

You guys this movie is BONKERS and it means everything to me. (Image: Netflix)

The plot? Buckle up, cause it is WILD. We’ve got Kathy (played by Lacey Chabert, aka Gretchen Wieners from Mean Girls), a widowed diner owner who’s about as jolly as a wall. She’s gifted a magical scarf that she plonks on a weirdly buff-as-hell snowman, because I guess that can be a thing?

Anywho, this icy Adonis comes to life as Jack, played by none other than Dustin Milligan (Ted the vet from Schitt’s Creek). And suddenly, we’re all wondering if we’ve been building the wrong kind of snowmen all these years.

Now, I know what you’re thinking. “Should snowmen fuck?” Well, strap in, because thankfully that’s the question this cinematic masterpiece is brave enough to ask. It’s the Christmas miracle we never knew we needed — a grown man playing a snowman come to life whilst being lowkey nakey like 99 per cent of the time he’s on screen.

Milligan, bless his cotton socks, told PEDESTRIAN.TV that he did struggle a tad with getting into the revealing role. “It was a challenge, for sure, to really dive into this role in a way where I was uninhibited as much as possible physically,” he said.

“The freedom that [Jack] had to move around with, was something that I had to very quickly get very comfortable with, which is not always easy.” In Milligan’s defence, prancing around in nothing but a scarf would make anyone a bit nervous.

But rest assured this frosty fever dream isn’t just about whether Kathy’s going to boink a walking, talking ice sculpture. It’s got heart, people. It’s about grief, community, and finding love in the most unexpected places.

So, should you watch Hot Frosty? Look, if you’re the type who’s still recovering from your last breakup and thinks swiping right on Tinder is too much commitment, maybe give it a miss.

But, if you’re ready to embrace the absurdity of love and life (and potentially develop a weird thing for snowmen), then chuck this onto your watch list. It’s time to answer that all important question [to the tune of Frozen]: do you want to fuck a snowman?

Hot Frosty is out now on Netflix.
