Horse racing tips and best bets for Musselburgh, Newbury, Carlisle, Haydock, Lingfield, Newton Abbot and Nottingham

The Grand National might be over but the racing doesn't stop with plenty to look forward to.

Punchestown will take centre stage later this month and our many Garry Owen brings you his tips from all the UK meetings every day.

ZERO TEN (3.14) can give Emmet Mullins more big-race glory in the Queen’s Cup at Musselburgh.

The Carlow Ace landed last week’s Grand National with Noble Yeats over the huge Aintree fences.

And the rising trainer can strike again on the Flat seven days later with another of his stable stars.

A high-class hurdler, the gelding slammed Dunvegan in a Grade 3 nove chase at Thurles in 2020.

Given time to develop, he made a superb return when routing Ciel D'afrique
on the level at Galway.

The nine-year-old ran to a similar level of form when edged out by Gee Rex
in a hot Sligo handicap.

He then didn’t quite stay two miles when fifth to Scope in the Grade 1 Prix Royal Oak at Longchamp.

Smart Ruler (centre), racing here at Musselburgh in 2014, was one of the four horses who died (PA)

Mullins holds this son of Shantou in the highest regard so he can bag another big prize down in class.

BULLET FORCE (1.32) looks lethal for thriving Karl Burke in the trappy Betway Royal Mile.

The colt built on some solid performances when routing Devasboy
over seven furlongs last season.

The son of Cable Bay stayed on the rise with sound efforts in defeat at Newmarket and Doncaster.

He then found the step up to Group 1 level too much when well-beaten in the Doncaster Futurity.

However, the three-year-old is still unexposed over a mile so he can land this more realistic target.

Keith Dalgleish’s GIOIA CIECA (2.04) can hit the mark in the trappy Silver Arrow Handicap.

The four-year-old showed a liking for this venue when chinning Tadreeb
over track and trip in June.

The colt ran another stormer when just denied by Modern News in hotter company at Doncaster.

He then ran better than the bare result when fourth to Lord Of The Lodge
at Newcastle last time.

The Carluke raider goes well fresh so he can dish out weight and a beating to some useful rivals.

RAASEL (2.39) can continue his dramatic rise for Michael Appleby in the Holyrood Handicap.

The sprinter began his winning run by cosily denying Glamorous Breeze
at Goodwood in September.

The five-year-old shrugged off an ever-increasing mark with a trio of decisive wins at Nottingham.

He made it five when outpointing fellow-improver Sir Titus in a warm event back at the same venue.

The gelding should be even better at five so he can defy another 8lb hike for his ultra-shrewd yard.

GOWANBUSTER (4.22) can enjoy his fourth win at the Lothian venue in the Betway Sprint.

Susan Corbett’s speedster returned to form with a decent second to Streak Lightning at Newcastle.

The gelding remains well-treated on his old form so he can take full advantage of an excellent draw.

PALLAS LORD (4.57) can complete a hat-trick for skilled Hawick handler Donald Whillans.

The gelding looked better than ever when comfortably defeating Lockdown Lass at Redcar.

The four-year-old is open to progress on Turf so he can follow up for his in-form connections.

ILARAAB (1.50) can continue William Haggas’ flying start in the John Porter Stakes at Newbury.

The five-year-old made a rapid rise through the ranks in 2020 with a sting of impressive wins.

He resumed his upward curve when routing Max Vega in a red-hot Grade 3 over track and trip.

There is plenty more to come from this smart type who can deny a reasonable field on his return.

Charley Appleby can bag another Classic trial with WILD BEAUTY (2.25) in the Fred Darling Stakes.

The three-year-old oozed class when bolting up from the classy Pizza Bianca in a Woodbine Grade 1.

She then made the most of a difficult draw when fifth to Inspiral in the Fillies’ Mile at Newmarket.

The Frankel filly has plenty of scope so she can book her 1000 Guineas place by taking this Group 3.

ANGEL BLEU (3.00) can also boost his Classic credentials by landing the Greenham Stakes.

Shrewd will be aimed at Ayr's Scottish Champion Hurdle (Grossick Racing)

Ralph Beckett’s horse oozed class when crushing Noble Truth in the Prix Lagardere at Longchamp.

The colt bagged another Group 1 when battling to victory in the Grand Criterium De Saint-Cloud.

There is plenty more to come from this rising star who can power to victory under Frankie Dettori.

ROGUE BEAR (3.35) can run wild for Tom Clover in the ever-competitive Highclere Spring Cup.

The gelding first caught the eye when easily downing the improving Masked Identity at Nottingham.

He raised his game again when dead-heating with the well-treated Hot Chesnut at the same venue.

The four-year-old ran another blinder when third to Johan on his return in the Lincoln at Doncaster.

The pacy son of Kodiac should be fighting fit so he can land this valuable contest with a faster start.
