Once-raced Eurocrat should land today’s Irish EBF Median Sires Series 2-Y-0 Maiden for Jessica Harrington and Shane Foley in Bellewstown.
He shaped like a future winner when staying on late to finish third to Wednesday’s Tipperary winner Celtic Times on his debut at Leopardstown, with subsequent winners Remarkable Artist and Hadman behind.
That experience will stand him in good stead on this unique circuit. And, with normal improvement, Eurocrat should take plenty of beating.
Harrington and Foley might also be on the mark with the consistent 75-rated Provocateuse, wearing first-time cheekpieces, in the five-furlong Pat Ludlow Memorial Maiden.
And Windsor Pass, narrowly beaten by Hype last time at Leopardstown, is another runner from Commonstown with obvious claims in the Seamus Mulvaney Crockafotha Fillies Handicap.
The highest-rated runner on the card is Ballydoyle filly Friendly, sixth in the Tattersalls Irish 1,000 Guineas but a nine-race maiden, seeking that elusive bracket in the Irish Stallion Farms Fillies Maiden.
