A horse had to be put down after it was involved in a collision with a car.
The incident took place on Friday evening on the Church Road, Mulhuddart in Blanchardstown. The horse was "mangled" and the car was a "write off", one eye witness told Dublin Live.
Thankfully, gardai reported no persons were injured in the crash. A spokesman told Dublin Live: "Gardai are investigating a rtc (road traffic collision) involving a car and horse that occurred on the Church road, Mulhuddart, at approximately 6:30pm yesterday, Friday February 24, 2023.

He added: "No injuries were reported to any person as a result." The horse was put down following the crash due to the injuries it sustained.
It is unclear how the collision occurred but it is understood that the horse became "startled" before the crash.
A witness to the incident told Dublin Live the car was a "write off". They said: [The car] "crashed into a horse on church road in Mulhuddart. The car is in bits.
"The horse looks mangled but standing. The car is a write off like."
