A horse bred by Irish racing legend Jim Bolger has died after being attacked by a swarm of bees at a stud farm in India.
Sanus Per Aquam was standing as a stallion at Kunigal Stud Farm in the Tumakuru district of Karnataka in the south-west of India.
A local newspaper reports that the ten-year-old, along with fellow stallion Air Support, were in their paddocks when attacked by a huge swarm of bees.

Staff of the stud called for vets but they were unable to save either horse, with Sanus Per Aquam dying the following day.
The horse won three times during his track career, earning £121,001 in a 13-race career, having been bred and trained by Bolger.
United Racing and Bloodstock Breeders bought the two horses for stud duties about six years ago.
