Horror as car set on fire in Leeds residential street

An investigation has been launched after a car was set on fire on a Leeds street.

West Yorkshire Police were called to Cross Flatts Grove, Beeston, at around 8.16pm yesterday (Monday) after a parked car was set alight. Enquiries are now ongoing into the circumstances of the incident, a spokesperson for the force has said.

A police spokesman said: “At 8.16pm yesterday evening, police were called to reports of an incident involving a parked car that has been set alight on Cross Flatts Grove, Leeds. Officers attended and found a car with damage consistent with being set on fire.
