The video shows the victim standing on the corner of Woodward Road and New Chester Road, Rock Ferry, at around 3pm on Monday, May 1. A dark coloured BMW then comes around the corner and hits the man, who is flung into the air and knocked to his feet.

He was detained after officers found a blue BMW, with a cracked windscreen, on Raffles Road in Birkenhead. The car, believed to be used in the attack, has been seized and will be forensically examined.
Inspector Danny Murphy said: "We were called to reports of a local man being run over by a dark coloured BMW and then assaulted by three men who had got out of the car.
