A horrified Four in a Bed star flatly refused to stay at a hotel in ‘appalling’ scenes in the latest episode of the Channel 4 show.
This weeks instalment of the hit programme saw competing hoteliers visit Lorraine and Kate's B&B in Cardiff.
The competitors enjoyed a good night’s sleep but things took a turn when they headed down for breakfast.
Two unwelcome furry friends invaded the breakfast area and left the guests so upset that some even refused to return.
The hoteliers were seen being interrupted by a cat and dog as they tucked into their morning meals.
Competitor Phil was seen voicing his concerns when one of Lorraine’s pets jumped on the table behind him while he ate his breakfast.
"I don't like animals being around where you're eating, don't get me wrong, I love animals, but this place and in a restaurant isn't the place," he bemoaned.
Phil went on to complain: "I think it was appalling that they allowed the cat to sit on the breakfast table. For me, that ruled out the breakfast straight away."
Fellow hotel owner Anthony remarked he feared the dog was going to "pounce" on him while he was eating.
When the guests came to scoring their stay, Phil didn’t pull any punches as he gave the Welsh B&B a low score of three for breakfast and declined to stay again.
Explaining his reasons behind the low score, Phil said: "It was all going well until the cat came out and sat on the continental breakfast.
“So I thought that was awful and from a professional point of view, that was awful."
Hotel owner Lorraine was dismayed by Phil’s criticism, and was seen ranting to her business partner and friend, Kate that she "didn't agree" with his comment.
Lorraine added: "I've never had anyone find a pet hair in their food. It is a shame as we know we are not going to be everybody's taste."
Four in a Bed airs on Channel 4 at 5pm on weekdays
