A man has been left with two broken eye sockets and a broken nose after an alleged assault on Boxing Day.
The horrific injuries were sustained by the victim - who is in his 40s - in the communal garden of a property in Calder Crescent, Whitefield. The man has no recollection of the incident and Greater Manchester Police (GMP) are now hunting for those responsible.
A force spokesman said: "GMP are appealing to the public for further information after a man was assaulted in Whitefield. On Monday 26 December 2022 at around 5pm, a man was assaulted on Calder Crescent in Whitefield and left the victim seriously injured.

"The victim of the assault - a male in his 40’s - was in the communal garden of the property at approximately 5pm when he was attacked. He has no recollection of the incident.
He suffered two fractured eye sockets and a broken nose. GMP are looking to identify the person(s) responsible."
