This is the shocking moment a dangerous driver sped through rush-hour traffic at 110mph and ramming two police cars.
Wild James O'Neil has been jailed for frantically driving along the A3 near Esher, on the London and Surrey border, on January 3.
The 27-year-old showed "a complete disregard" for the safety of the public with his actions, according to Surrey Police, who have released footage showing the moment O'Neill's car hit two of the force's vehicles.
O'Neill hit speeds of up to 110mph in a 50mph zone during rush-hour earlier this year, and after leaving the A3 he attempted to leave the vehicle in Poplar Grove, Surrey Live reports.
The two-minute clip shows officers speaking to each other during the pursuit, with one saying "I'm out of the game", while another adds: "He's made contact with me."
The officers report back to base of the extreme speed O'Neill is hitting, before declaring risk "high" during the chase.
O'Neill weaves in and out of traffic near the New Malden junction officers are told a stinger has been sent to stop the dangerous driver.
Minutes later confirmation for the officers to initiate tactical contact before O'Neill ditches the car and attempts to run down an alleyway.
A foot chase ensued but he was eventually apprehended by officers who had been working alongside colleagues from the Metropolitan Police.
While detained forensic analysis linked the dangerous driver to two burglaries in West Surrey in July last year.
O'Neill, of Chepstow Close in Putney, appeared at Guildford Crown Court on March 15.
He pleaded guilty to dangerous driving, failing to stop, failing to provide a specimen for drug analysis, and two counts of burglary.
He has now been jailed for three years and has also been banned from the roads for 54 months.
PC Nick Swann, from the Surrey Police Roads Policing Unit, said “O’Neill showed a complete disregard for the safety of the public when he attempted to flee from officers.
"Thanks to the close working relationship between Surrey Police’s Operations Command Units and the Metropolitan Police we managed to apprehend O’Neill and hold him to account for his dangerous driving and prior burglary offences.”
