A Pennsylvania grandmother who went missing on Dec. 2 after she went searching for her cat was found dead on Friday.

Elizabeth Pollard, 64, left her 5-year-old granddaughter in her car while she searched for her missing cat, Pepper, last week, WTAE reported. Her granddaughter was found the next morning, still in the vehicle, and next to a newly formed sinkhole.

A rescue group of hundreds of first responders searched for Pollard for four days before finally finding her body at the bottom of a mine, according to WTAE.

Police estimated Pollard fell 30 feet before her body crashed through to the mine shaft.
