Second Person Confirmed Dead In Horrific Sydney Harbour Bridge Crash

A second man has been confirmed dead after a devastating multi-vehicle crash on the Sydney Harbour Bridge, while another person is fighting for their life.

The incident, which occurred around 1:40 pm, involved three cars and a bus in a chaotic pileup that brought traffic to a standstill. Emergency services rushed to the scene, where they found a tragic situation unfolding.

One man, whose identity has not yet been released, was pronounced dead at the scene. Soon after, another man was pronounced dead, while a third person has been rushed to hospital and is said to be in a critical condition.

The bus driver fortunately escaped unharmed, and there were no passengers on board at the time of the crash. However, several other individuals involved in the collision are currently being assessed by NSW Ambulance paramedics.

“All lanes are closed in both directions while emergency services attend to the multiple-vehicle crash on the deck of the bridge,” Live Traffic Sydney reported.

However, one northbound lane has since reopened.

Buses will be diverted and delayed due to the crash, but trains continue to run across the bridge in both directions.

Police are urging motorists to steer clear of the area and to check Live Traffic for updates.
