'Horrible' Man City make teams 'feel like children' says Newcastle star Bruno Guimaraes

Newcastle United midfielder Bruno Guimaraes vows it is 'horrible' to play against Manchester City and that opposition teams 'feel like children' against Pep Guardiola's side in comparison.

City won the Treble last season in a remarkable campaign at the Etihad Stadium. Guardiola's side overhauled Arsenal in the Premier League to claim their fifth title in the space of six years.

The FA Cup was claimed with a 2-1 victory over rivals Manchester United at Wembley to lift the famous old trophy. And then the club's first Champions League title was secured with a win over Inter Milan in Istanbul as City matched United's 1999 achievement with the Treble.

City have become the dominant force in English football since Guardiola's arrival. Only Liverpool have won the title aside from City in the past six years.

Against Newcastle last season, the spoils were shared in a 3-3 draw at St James' Park. City won the return clash at the Etihad Stadium 2-0 at the beginning of March.

And Newcastle midfielder Bruno has labelled City as the best in England and that coming up against Guardiola's side makes opposition teams feel like children by comparison. He believes in clashes against City, it feels like they have several players more than teams coming up against them.

Speaking to the Charla podcast on YouTube, the Magpies man said: “We know that Manchester City is a step above all teams in England, with all due respect. It’s the worst game when we play there, I hate it. It feels like we’re all children and they’re professionals. It’s horrible.

“It feels like they’re playing with 15 players, and we’re playing with seven. You look and say, ‘Wow, there are so many blue guys.’ It’s unbelievable. And they’re all crazy good. Sometimes we talk, the coach asks: ‘Press the right side, the left side…’

“Against Manchester City, how do you play?! You go out there and let them score right away… It’s very difficult, there are so many good players.”
